2 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp minced garlic (1 large garlic clove)
1 tsp onion powder
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
Black pepper
Directions
- Mix mustard, garlic and onion powder in a small bowel
- Add remaining ingredients and mix to combine
- Place beef in a Ziploc bag with marinade and squeeze out excess air to close and shake the bag to thoroughly coat steak with marinade; store in refrigerator overnight (12 - 24 hours)
- Remove marinated steaks from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to bring to room temperature; this is key for even cooking of steaks. Shake off excess marinade.
- Remove steak from the marinade and shake off excess; discard the remaining marinade
- Cook or grill steaks to desired internal temperature
