Enchilada and Tamale Chili Sauce

1 lb ground beef, ground turkey, or chopped roasted chicken
1 medium onion, diced
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp flour
4 tbsp Gebhardt’s chili powder
3 cups low sodium chicken stock
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Brown ground beef, ground turkey, or chopped roasted chicken in large sauté pan on medium high heat
- Drain grease and set meat aside
- Heat oil and sauté onion in pan
- Add flour and Gebhardt’s Chili Powder; stir until flour and chili powder are mixed
- Add chicken stock; cook for about 20 minutes until smooth, and season with salt and pepper
- Return meat to pan and cook on low for 15 minutes
