Sweet and Spicy Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • ½ cup soy sauce

  • 2 tsp chopped fresh ginger root

  • 2 tsp chopped garlic

  • 2 tbsp hot sauce

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp pepper

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into thin ½" strips

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Directions

  • Mix brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and hot sauce in a small bowl
  • Add flour, salt, and pepper to plastic bag and shake to mix
  • Place chicken strips in dry seasoning mix and shake to lightly coat on all sides
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat
  • Add chicken strips and brown on both sides; about 1 minute per side
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken, simmer uncovered until the sauce thickens; about 8-10 minutes
