Homemade Biscuits

2 cups all purpose flour
1 tbsp
1 tsp granulated sugar
1 tsp salt
6 tbsp unsalted butter, very cold
¾ cup whole milk
⅓ cup butter, melted
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425ºF and line cookie sheet with parchment paper
- Prepare a clean surface to knead dough, sprinkle with flour
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in large bowl
- Cut or shred butter into flour mixture to create course crumbs
- Gently work dough together on floured surface
- Fold in half and flatten 5-6 times to create layers; dough should be 1" thick
- Cut out using lightly dusted round biscuit cutter (I use a drinking glass)
- Set on prepared cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes
- When the biscuits are baked through, remove from oven, brush with melted butter, and put the biscuits back in the oven for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown
