Maryland Crab Cakes

Ingredients

  • ½ cup onion, finely diced

  • 1 lb fresh lump crab meat

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • ½ cup panko bread crumbs

  • 1 egg, well beaten

  • 1 tsp ground white pepper

  • ½ tsp chopped parsley

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 lemon, juiced

  • dash tabasco sauce

  • dash Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  • Thoroughly mix all ingredients
  • Refrigerate in covered container for 1 hour
  • Shape into 10 2-inch patties
  • Sauté in melted butter until golden brown
  • Turn over and sauté on other side until golden brown
  • Drain well and serve very hot
